My approach to therapy is to be – first and foremost – a dedicated listener. I am always open and accepting, attentive and non-judgmental. I value teamwork because the journey, through life and therapy, is different for everyone. I will collaborate with you to design the best approach while keeping in mind your individual values, personal goals and life thus far.
Using my decades of experience, I will help you learn to choose healthy behaviors and advocate for yourself to become resilient and prepare yourself for life’s challenges. I enjoy working with a variety of life transitions and situations ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders and women’s issues. I also have a deep understanding of the challenges that come with aging, coping with medical issues and looking to find meaning in life.
I have a particular interest in the relationship between mindfulness and self-care and compassionate living. I encourage you to pay attention to your life and be present. I teach you to take care of yourself, leading to emotional growth and resilience. The goal is to learn to treat yourself the way you would treat someone you really like!
I recognize that change is often challenging, and I will offer encouragement and advocate for you as you gain the patience and confidence to advocate for yourself. Let me teach you the skills to lead a life that is more fulfilling and joyful.
